Warehouse Heating and Cooling – Efficient and looks Great
Today’s business world is very different than it’s ever been in the past. Traditionally business operated from a standard office building with separate offices for each member of staff. Now businesses understand that open plan offices or as Hewlett Packard called it “Open door” benefit collaboration and innovation and help build a better culture within business.
Warehouse and Factories used for Offices
This modern view of open planned offices has drawn companies to view warehouses and factories as perfect places to set up their business. Converting unused manufacturing and storage spaces into spacious work spaces, has become a growing worldwide trend. Warehouses provide a larger, flexible and usually more affordable space and allows the owner to utilise the open floor area, while also creating their own interesting and unique design. In Australia as manufacturing industries a reducing savy service businesses are purchasing the dis-used warehouses and turning them into trendy work places.
Warehouse heating and cooling is more efficient nowadays
Warehouse heating and cooling has many efficient options. When a client is considering buying a warehouse and/or factory, one of the main questions I get asked is “How do we cool and heat such a huge area?”. Warehouses have a much higher ceiling making them less efficient to heat. The most effective way is with a Variable Refrigerant Flow, or a Ducted Reverse Cycle System. These units can be designed to be installed out of sight by installing a faux ceiling, or to keep in style with the “warehouse/industrial look”, many customers incorporate the system into the “look and feel” of their building. This is a more affordable option and can look very effective.
A wide range of companies have successfully incorporated air conditioning and heating systems into their warehouse design, here are a few examples.
